This picture is the centrepiece from a collection of paintings inspired by Lucy’s love of unique and independent shops on the high street of Britain. Most of the buildings in this collection are re-imagined versions of some of her favourite quaint and quirky shops in her local market towns. Lucy inherited a love of architecture from her father who was an artist. He campaigned passionately to save many old buildings from being pulled down in her home county of Suffolk when she was growing up. The high street shops depicted here are national treasures and this series of images has been designed to celebrate all that is magical about our unique retail landscape.
