Art Prints | The Finest View in England | Blenheim Palace | Lucy Loveheart

Lucy Loveheart

£55.00

Lucy was asked to create a painting for Blenheim Palace, showing 'The Finest View in England', the view of the Palace across the Great Lake from the Woodstock Gate. This beautiful view was made famous by Lord Randolph Churchill, father of Winston Churchill, when he first saw it in 1874.

Blenheim Palace is a magnificent country house situated in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England. It is home to the Dukes of Marlborough, and is the only non-royal non-episcopal country house in England to hold the title of palace! It is one of England's largest houses, and was built between 1705 and 1722. Blenheim Palace was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.

Lucy was inspired by the beautiful grounds and house and the magnificence of the setting, as well as the details of the palace and ground, and has captured them in this work. The original work hangs in place at Blenheim Palace.
