Bluebell woods hold a special place in Lucy’s heart and once a year she tries to make a pilgrimage to some of the enchanting and ancient woodlands near her home. Lucy and one of her closest friends, who lives far away, always try and meet up for a heart to heart in the blue bell woods on the Blickling estate in Norfolk. This painting captures one such moment with a carpet of bluebells and Wolterton Hall appearing through the woods on the horizon.
