Lucys interest in Nightingales was ignited after attending a talk in Salthouse church, Norfolk by the nature writer Richard Mabey. Soon after she, her mother and Aunt, who also have a fascination with nightingales, went on a trail, deep in the heart of a beautiful woodland in Suffolk. Just as the sun was setting and casting golden beams they could hear the distant tune of the nightingale, amongst the dusk chorus.
