Lucy was invited by Kew Gardens to paint a wintry picture depicting the Palm House.  This has been an inspiring project for her and she loved the idea of presenting the contrasting temperatures of the hot, tropical Palm House and the frozen lake and winter gardens.  The painting also features one of the famous peacocks and the iconic heraldic 'The Queens Beasts' statues. Kew holds a special place in Lucy's heart as she spent many happy days painting and drawing in the gardens during her first year in London, whilst studying at the Royal College of Art.

Original watercolour and collage on handmade recycled paper.   Hand embellished with glitter, stickers and gold and pearl relief.  Mounted and framed.
